JOB SUMMARY – Director of Food and Nutrition Services Department: Food & Nutrition Services Reports To: Chief Clinical Officer
The Director of the Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) plans and directs all aspects of operation for the Nutrition Services Department as well as the Food Services (Dietary) Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. The Director supervises the Dietitians and Food Service Manager. The position ensures nutritional adequacy and regulatory compliance of menus and medical nutrition therapy services in coordination with the Registered Dietitians. If certified as a Registered Dietitian, the incumbent will also be responsible for providing clinical care in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (The following are minimal qualifications necessary for entry into this classification)
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree with an emphasis in Food & Nutrition or Business Management, or closely related field.
License(s): Current Licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Alaska, or Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or Certified Dietary Manager is required.
Experience: Three years of experience in a management role.
Practice Notice: All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen prior to start of employment.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
