Training experience integrated into a Family Medicine Residency training program, and residency clinic. The internship will provide the opportunity to serve the underserved population through brief interventions, consultation and traditional visits. In serving the underserved population the intern will be working closely with our director of behavior medicine, 20 resident physicians, 10 attending physicians, social workers, and case managers. In addition to the clinical training and integration as a behavioralist in the clinic, the intern will also learn the entire behavioral health curriculum for the resident physicians and teach to this curriculum. 60 percent of the job is clinical and 40 percent is teaching physicians in the family medicine clinic. This is a full time, 12 month internship for a behavioral medicine clinician/educator.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
PhD coursework completed by the time of start, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology.
Licensed in approprate state
Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
