The Patient SafetyAttendant provides assistance with Patient Care standards. The PatientSafety Attendant (PSA)/ Patient Sitter performs delegated duties consistentwith his/her scope of practice, under the supervision of the RN and assistswith direct patient care; functions within the philosophy and overall plan ofcare delivery at SMC.
The PSAs participate in patientcare including helping the patients to toilet, bathing, and vital signs.
Documentationis done every 15 minutes. The PSA muststay in the room with patient at all times and watch the patient constantly atarm’s length.

Current BLS Certification with American HeartAssociation- required.
Current Colorado certification as a CNA - required.
One or more years’ experience in a clinicalsetting preferred.
Demonstrates good organizational skills.
