Position Summary: Performs and delivers a physician prescribed radiation therapy treatment on patients, calculates machine settings, simulation, block cutting and assists the physicians with patient care and special procedures. Must know and utilize radiation safety techniques. Equipment Listing: 1. Varian Clinac IX with OBI, Gating and SRS capability 2. GE RTCT simulator 3. MOSAIQ/IMPAC record and verify information system
A.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current ARRT certification or registry eligible Current BLS certification through AHA B.Education: Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology. C.Experience: Previous experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred. D.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have strong communication skills in order to communicate with staff, patients and physicians. Must be able to demonstrate strong technical skills needed for daily patient treatments. Must be able to perform simulation procedures, cerrobend block design and daily treatments with minimal supervision.
