Belmar ER was created to serve as an extension of Swedish Medical Center.Our free-standing ER is an 11 bed facility conveniently located on the northeast corner of the SWadsworth Blvd and W Alameda Ave intersection. We offer full-service emergencycare at our location in alignment with Swedish Medical Center’s standard ofhigh quality service
Position Summary TheClinical Nurse Coordinator performs delegated duties consistent with the scopeof practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at SwedishMedical Center and displays positive support for the overall goals, values andmission of Swedish Medical Center.
·Identifies andeffectively assists in implementation of strategic plans.Actively participates in department andhospital strategic planning and effectively implements new programs andservices.
·Maintains aneffective competency and staff development program.
·Responsible forday-to-day operations such as: processing payroll, managing departmentexpenses, participating on hospital committees, processing employeeevaluations, managing personnel issues.Does so in an effective and timely manner in order to meet the needs ofthe department and organization.
·Maintains adepartmental staffing plan that meets the needs of the customer and isresponsive to the changing census.
·Assures anappropriate skill mix and staffing levels in accordance with volume demands.
·Creates/fostersa positive environment; leads by example and by holding staff accountable fortheir behaviors and attitudes (compassionate, professional, communicative).
Required Job Qualifications
Current licensure as an RN
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider and .ACLS Certification through the AHA.
Required TNCC and PALS
·Bachelor Science Nursing or activelypursuing with completion within 3 years of hire required. Graduate of anaccredited school of nursing required.
·Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experiencerequired.Two years progressivesupervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledgeof nursing theory and practice.
·Demonstrates the ability to have directpatient care and charge nurse responsibilities. Ability to recognize the needsand concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in allinteractions. Adheres to all departmental safety initiatives. Ability tocommunicate effectively in oral and written manners. Participates in counselingand guidance of personnel. Ability toassume leadership role with the health team in planning and delivery of patientcare.
