Perioperative Residency Program for Experienced & New Grad RNs
Commitment: Five month training period (No time off will be allowed during training). Followed by full-time employment for 2 years at HealthONE Inpatient Hospitals or Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Must adhere to HealthONE policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, and Standards of Behavior.
*Transfers to part-time and PRN status will not be permitted during the 2 year employment commitment.
Current Colorado RN licensure must be obtained by residency start date
BLS certification required
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Utilizes problem-solving skills to determine the best course of action.
Utilizes evidence based practice to insure the surgical patients outcomes are optimized.
Ability to listen and respond to constructive criticism.
Ability to manage in stressful situations.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple complex tasks.
Ability to work independently and under pressure to follow through on issues.
Ability to work effectively with the Surgical Team.
Graduate from an accredited nursing school required
BSN strongly preferred
RN License in the State of Colorado required before clinical preceptorship
