This position supports the mission of NorthSuburban’s MedicalCenter of optimizing the quality of lifeof all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needsto the needs of the whole person. Underthe supervision of the Radiology Director, a Radiologist and the supervision ofthe supervisor of Nuclear Medicine, thetechnologist performs procedures in accordance with established protocols forpatients ages neonate through geriatric. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient care skills, andproviding quality diagnostic results. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The ARRT standard of practice describes the clinicalcompetency requirements and job responsibilities. The licensed independentpractitioner controls the ordering, preparation, and administration of themedication/contrast. The LIP has given authority to competently trainedtechnologist to perform this function under their control within the facilitiesguidelines and policies.

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT or NMTCB or board eligible. AHA BLS and AHA ACLS
Graduate accredited school of medical radiography or nuclear medicine
Clinical rotation or 1 year of experience

General departmental orientation completed within two weeks. Completion of competencies within 90 days.
