The Ortho Trauma Registered Nurse:
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment for identified patient population per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act
Documents patient care administered
Promotes interdisciplinary communication and care
Delivers care based on the age, physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient
Demonstrates basic and unit specific competencies

Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado (May work with a current RN compact license from another state for the 1st 180 days of employment)
Current BLS Certification with the American Heart Association
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN desirable
One to two years acute care/specialty nursing is desirable
