Maintains technicalproficiency and expertise in allultrasound and Non-Invasive vascular studies. Works independently in performing all ultrasound procedures on patientsranging in age from neonate to late adulthood. Ability to provide testing in various clinical conditions. Communicates effectively with radiologist andreferring physicians about ultrasound and non-invasive vascular procedures.Prioritizes, motivates and promotes quality patient care to support theMission, Vision and Values of Sky Ridge Medical Center. Sonographer is responsible for producingquality diagnostic sonograms for interpretation by the radiologist. Maintains and support facility technical anddocumentation expectations that are consistent with JCAHO and ACR regulationsand SRMC standards. Positively reflectsconcern and consideration when interacting with patient, medical staff, andemployees. Demonstrates independentcritical thinking skills daily to assure accountability for personal and teamcontributions.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Completion of an ARDMS approvedUltrasound School training program or equivalent or armed services program thatqualifies for approval. Current ARDMSand RVT registry required. Must maintaincurrent ARDMS and RVT registry and BCLS. Attends continuing education activities to maintain and enhanceknowledge and skill level.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an ARDMS approved Ultrasoundprogram or equivalent. Current registryby ARDMS.
