The Pediatric acute care RN oversees and directs the care of the pediatric patient.The Pediatric acute care RN is responsible for the care of surgery patients and patients with medical conditions including respiratory diseases, GI disorders and Oncologic disorders, and other patients meeting pediatric admission criteria.Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. (BSN preferred)
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
PALS required in first 6 months of hire
One-year experience in acute care (preferred)
