This position supports themission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality oflife of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medicalcare to meet the needs of the whole person. The Acute Care RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to thegeneral medical/surgical populations utilizing the nursing process. Special populations include vascular, woundcare, GI, ophthalmology and bariatric surgeries. Oversees and directs the care of LPN’s andassistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given toassigned patients. When the need arises,will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Currentlicensure in the State of Coloradoas a Registered Nurse; BLS – Healthcare provider. ACLS required.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing. EKG interpretation competency and/orcourse within the first 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
Experience: One year experience in acute carepreferred.
Special Qualifications: Ability tocommunicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members. Ability to manage ateam and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
