The Nursing House Supervisor serves as theshift leader for the entire facility representing administration and departmentleadership in their absence. They are aresource person for immediate problem solving for the hospital by enhancingcommunication and coordination of information and resources among alldepartments. The Nursing Supervisoracts to communicate support and advance the goals and objectives of theorganization, service areas and all departments. The Nursing Supervisor demonstrates theknowledge and skills necessary to support safe patient care, which includesstaffing. The Nursing Supervisor isintegral to safe and efficient patient throughput and maintains shift by shiftaccountability for this.
BSN orBS in health care related field preferred.
CurrentRegistered Nurse license in the State of Colorado (May work with a current RNcompact license from another state for the 1st 90 days ofemployment).
Three (3)or more years of acute care experience preferred
Three(3) or more years of supervisory experience
Demonstratescomprehensive knowledge of the practice of nursing process.
Demonstratesthe ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing services.
Abilityto recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructiverelationships in dealing with them.
Abilityto communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Participatesin counseling and guidance of personnel.
Acts asa mediator between patient care and administration.
Abilityto assume leadership role with the health team in planning and delivery ofpatient care. Recognized personalresponsibility in striving for innovative health care delivery, which meetscontemporary needs and assumes leadership in negotiating for changes in healthcare.
