Experience: Two year experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: As defined in position competencies:
Typing and use of computer keyboard; reading of some technical medical information, physician orders, patient MARs, checklists, and directions; math skills: basic math, algebra, measurements of amounts; preparation of simple reports, completion of forms and logs, writing telephone messages; communication via telephone, computer and face to face with staff, patients, and small groups; excellent interpersonal skills with patients and other health care professionals. Ability to work with automated systems. Granted Automated Dispensing System/Meditech access and privileges.
Degree of Supervision Required: All activities supervised by a pharmacist. Works independently, concise instruction given when needed, duties outlined on hiring, completed patient specific pharmaceutical work checked by pharmacist as required by State and Federal Law.
