Thisposition supports the mission of North Suburban’s Medical Center of optimizingthe quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditionalfocus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person.Under the supervision of the RadiologyDirector, a Radiologist and the supervision of the supervisor of DiagnosticImaging, the technologist performs procedures in accordance with establishedprotocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.Responsible for maintaining expert technicaland patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.When need arises, will perform other dutiesas assigned by supervisor.
The ARRTstandard of practice describes the clinical competency requirements and jobresponsibilities. The student radiologic technologist performs all jobdescription functions under the supervisor of a registered radiologictechnologist.
ARRT eligibleor in accredited radiology program
American HeartAssociation BLS Provider
Graduateaccredited school of medical radiography or enrolled in the program.
Clinicalrotation or 1 year of experience
Degreeof Supervision Required:
Under direct supervision of theSupervisor or Manager of Diagnostic Imaging
Generaldepartmental orientation completed within two weeks.Completion of competencies in 90 days.
