What can you expect working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Rose Medical Center?
Provides individualized patient care in the Emergency Department. This care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patients.
Performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center.
Works in collaboration with the ED techs to maintain supplies, stock and equipment.
The RN displays positive support for the mission and values of RMC.
Provides care to all age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Perform Lab testing as assigned based on protocol of each test, documenting results and communicating criticals as defined.
Complete competency as required. Follow lab testing safety guidelines, maintenance and QC completion/documentation, and proficiency testing as assigned.
Follow "good lab practice" in testing and initiate corrective action as issues occur with test system or result.
Educational records (diploma or transcript) are mandatory for staff performing non-waived testing.
The Paramedic under the direction of the Medical Director of the Emergency Department and Emergency Services Director is responsible for implementing technical procedures and care on Emergency Department patients safely and effectively.
The quality of care and service given will adhere to the philosophy and objectives of the hospital in order to meet the health care needs of patients, and their families.
The Paramedic works responsibly as a medical assistant under the direct supervision and responsibility of the Emergency Department (ED) physicians performing care for patient(s) in accordance with physician’s orders, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

Current AHA Healthcare Provider (BLS), ACLS Provider, PALS Provider certifications.
Current certification in the State of Colorado as a Paramedic.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the clinical setting as a Paramedic. Preferred 1-2 years of hospital experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills.
Some specified skills may be required by specific departments.
Degree of Supervision Required
General guidance and direction by the Department Director, Unit Charge Nurse, staff RN and Emergency Department physician. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
