The RN Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position supports the missionof Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children @ P/SL. Rocky Mountain Hospital forChildren cares for children and their families with compassion, pediatricexpertise, and innovation. Our patient-focused environment welcomes them withgenuine hospitality and includes the child’s primary physician in treatmentdecisions. We intend to care for the child from conception, through infancy andinto young adulthood with medical excellence and a comprehensive approachunmatched in the Rocky Mountain region. The Resource Team RN is responsible forthe delivery of nursing care to patients in the PICU, Pediatric unit, NICULevel II, NICU Level IV, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED, and any RMHC care areaas deemed necessary. The Resource TeamRN serves as primary nurse and/or care coordinator, leading the collaborationof all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. The Resource Team RN oversees and directs thecare of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the caregiven to assigned patients. When theneed arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The AdministrativeSupervisor is an RN who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary toprovide care to patients and to provide direction and supervisions to otherstaff caring for patients in patient care department/unit. Delivery of care to patients is based oncriteria that are specific to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety andlearning needs of that individual, depending on age and developmental level andon competence of staff assigned to that department. The Administrative Supervisor reviews patientcare daily, visits patients regularly, making suggestions to improve care andbecomes involved in the care of selected patients. The Administrative Supervisor organizes,coordinates, and facilitates patient care in patient care department/unitduring all operating hours. TheAdministrative Supervisor performs delegated management duties, assigned by thePatient Care Director, which are consistent with her/his scope of nursingpractice and competence. TheAdministrative Supervisor demonstrates an understanding of the budget processand staffing plan, implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing andsupply management decisions. She/heparticipates in the monitoring, coaching, evaluating and disciplining process. The Administrative Supervisor supports themission, vision, and values, goals and objectives of Presbyterian/St. Luke’sMedical Center and the HealthONE organization.

Current licensure in the state ofColorado as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS certification.
Current ACLS certification
Current PALS certification.
Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing.
At least two years acutecare/specialty nursing is desirable in area of specialty.
At least one year previous experiencein charge/supervisory or management position.
Demonstrates good organizationalskills.
Provides safe and appropriate carewithin the Standards of Nursing practice at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s MedicalCenter.
Demonstrates good critical thinkingskills.
Displays leadership and problemsolving skills.
