POSITION SUMMARY: The Endoscopy Technician provides assistance in patient care and department support. Activities are performed in accordance with patient care and department standards –duties as appropriately assigned. The delivery of care is based on the age, physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. Demonstrate basic and unit specific competencies. Performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SRMC. Displays a positive support of SRMC. Call is required for the position.
C.Experience: 1-3 years hospital experience preferred.
D.Special Qualifications: Knowledge of basic clinical practices, procedures, and standards. Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care. Basic knowledge of computer systems and good interpersonal skills. Strong
critical thinking skills. Demonstrates good organizational skills. Performs procedures safely and accurately within the standards of practice. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates professionally and
positively with all internal and external customers.
