Position Summary: The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients; planning, implementing, and modifying treatment programs according to age appropriate needs. In addition to direct patient intervention, the Occupational Therapist is involved in the education of patient, family, caregivers and staff regarding the patient’s functional level. The Occupational Therapist may participate in student education and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. The equipment used may include, but is not limited to: computer, camcorder, VCR, parafin bath, fluidotherapy, ultrasound, e-stim, splinting pan, heat gun, ionophoresis, whirlpool, treatment tables, pulleys.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: National certification by the NBOTC, Colorado OT license and BLS certification required.
Education: Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
Experience: New graduates accepted. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 3000 working hours as an occupational therapist preferred.
Special Qualifications: Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of the practice of therapy. Is able to plan and provide for delivery of therapies. Works independently to effectively problem solve issues with staff and develop a workable solution. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing. Must have a willingness to participate in guidance and counseling of personnel. Must have interpersonal skills to act as a mediator between patient care and administration. Proficiency in computer skills, critical thinking skills, and public speaking skills. Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal regulations that impact areas of their responsibility.
