Sky Ridge is located on a 57-acre campus at the southwest corner of I-25 and Lincoln Avenue in Lone Tree, Douglas County, Colorado (south Denver Metro area). and has 284 beds. The development of Sky Ridge Medical Center was, in significant part, the result of an outcry from both the community as well as elected officials in Douglas County, including the Douglas County Commissioners and former Senator John Evans. Until the opening of this hospital, Douglas County has been without an acute care hospital to provide for the healthcare needs of the community.
Interventional Radiology is a sub-specialty of radiology in which minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance (e.g., X-ray and MRI). These doctors specialize in using nonsurgical techniques for targeted treatments.
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for solid to expert knowledge of all Special/Interventional Procedures, and being able to provide appropriate and positive patient care and exemplary customer service to patients, ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood. Maintains strong communication and organization within Interventional Radiology, as well interdepartmentally, and with radiologist and referring physicians. Consistently demonstrates efficient sterile technique skills. Maintains and supports facility technical and documentation expectations consistent with JCAHO regulations and standards. Consistently demonstrates critical thinking skills in day to day job prioritization, and assumes accountability for personal and team contributions. Must be willing to enter call rotation, to include weekend and holidays, as well as be willing to cross train to one or more modalities, as required.
Qualifications Education/Experience: - Current ARRT RT(R)(VI) or (CV) and current BLS Required.
- Interventional/Special experience preferred.
