The Surgical Robotics unit is a 24 bed Med Surg specialty unit with a patient population that includes: GYN oncology, Urology, and Med Surg. Our Nurse/Patient ratio: 4-5:1 on days and 5:1 on nights. This unit is a fast paced environment consisting of high volume of admissions and discharges and are very focused on patient safety and satisfaction. Our team oriented unit is looking for a registered nurse that is positive and can adapt to a fast paced environment.
The Surgical Robotics Registered Nurse (RN):
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment, for identified patient population per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act
Documents patient care administered
Promotes interdisciplinary communication and care
Delivers care based on the age, physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient
Demonstrates basic and unit specific competencies
Demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients
May rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency
Performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC
Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Values & Standards of Nursing Practice at SMC
Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills
Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers
