This position supports themission of North Suburban’s Medical Center of optimizing thequality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focuson medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the RadiologyDirector, a Radiologist and the supervision of the supervisor of Mammography, the Mammo Technologist performsprocedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonatethrough geriatric. Responsible formaintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing qualitydiagnostic results. When need arises,will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The ARRT standard of practice describes the clinicalcompetency requirements and job responsibilities. The licensed independentpractitioner controls the ordering, preparation and administration of themedication/contrast. The LIP has given authority to competently trainedtechnologist to perform this function under their control within the facilitiesguidelines and policies.
