The Oncology Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day oncology pharmacy operations in various Oncology andInfusion Centers as assigned. Reporting to the system Clinical Pharmacy Director directly and indirectly to the clinicleadership and Pharmacy Director, this individual serves as a working supervisor providing direction and supervision tooncology pharmacy technicians. In addition, the incumbent participates in direct patient care activities and coordinatesservices with other healthcare team members as appropriate. The Specialist will work closely with the Director of Pharmacy Services, Providers, and clinical leaders on initiatives related to oncology pharmacy operations.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
One year experience as a clinical pharmacist or with equivalent education (completion of residency or Pharm.D. degree)
Chemotherapy/Hazardous product compounding and USP 797 compliance
Clinical knowledge of oncology and specialty pharmacy; innovative pharmacy practice; pharmacoeconomics; regulations applicable to Pharmacy, including DEA, Board of Pharmacy, CMS, FDA, The Joint Commission, etc.
Licensed Pharmacist in Colorado (or eligible for licensure in Colorado)
PGY2 in oncology preferred
Board certification in oncology pharmacy preferred
Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
