Qualifications Qualifications ~ Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or business field or equivalent experience. ~ Minimum of five years of experience in Plant Operations/ healthcare experience preferred. Two years management experience preferred. Special Qualifications: Demonstrates ability to effectively manage department(s) quality service, budgets and staffing. Also, appropriately establishes priorities. Knowledge of laws and regulations relative to safety management, equipment management, security management and emergency preparedness. Demonstrates ability to anticipate problems and works effectively to resolve issue and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to patients, physicians, administration, peers and staff. Knowledge of regulatory requirements pertinent to health care facilities, including The Joint Commission, NFPA99, NFPA101, OSHA, and EPA. Knowledge of hospital mechanical systems, including utility management and control system, HVAC systems, medical gases, electrical distribution, emergency power, fire protection/alarm system.
