Summary: Provides comprehensive intraoperative neuro-monitoring (IONM) during surgical procedures. Performs duties under the supervisionof an registered CNIM Technologist. Job Duties: - Elects optimal testing protocols to monitor the functional integrity of the neurological structures at risk appropriate to the surgical procedure being performed. May perform other testing outside of surgical procedures.
- Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
- Continuously monitors and alerts attending physician/surgeon of any critical changes.
- Follows American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) guidelines related to Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM).
Requirements: - Associate's degree, or graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Technology
- Registered R.EEG T. or R EP T, or graduate from a CAAHEP IOM Program or CAAHEP Accredited Add-on IOM Program or Bachelor's in Science.
- BLS
- Experience in Operating Room (OR), neuroanatomy/physiology, clinical training in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM).
Preferred: - Bachelors of Science Degree
