RN License in the State ofColorado.
Compact license acceptable but mustobtain Colorado RN License within 180 days of hire.
Current BLS certification through theAmerican Heart Association.
Certification or eligibility as acertified occupational health nurse preferred.
Valid Colorado Driver’s license.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or otherhealth related field required.
Advanced degree MSN/ NP or otherpreferred.
Five to seven years medical/surgicalnursing required.
Previous occupational health nursingand workers’ compensation experience preferred.
Experience in emergency department,orthopedic nursing, and/or case management desirable.
Ability to communicate effectivelywith patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.
Ability to manage a team and work withothers within a team to ensure quality patient care.
Strong critical thinking skills.
Advanced physical assessment and casemanagement skills required.
Knowledge of occupational health,safety and workers’ compensation preferred.
Effective written and oralcommunication skills.
Teaching, counseling and oralpresentation skills needed.
Demonstrates flexibility toreprioritize activities due to constant interruptions.
Must be able to work alone, withoutother medical resources immediately available.
Knowledge of OSHA law, FMLA, and ADApreferred.
Computer skills needed.
