The Coordinator Residency position provides administrative support to the Residency Program Director and faculty; ensuring that the residency program is in compliance with all ACGME requirements to ensure continued accreditation of the residency program.
Provide support to the Senior Program Coordinator/director/, faculty/ and residents, including but not limited to: resolving director/faculty/resident problems/requests/questions.Assists with the development of the residency program policy/procedure manual
Works collaboratively with faculty and other staff to Oversee residency applicant interview process: perform develop residency recruiting program, which includes preliminary review of candidate residency applicant files to establish level of qualification;, initiate and maintain contact with select applicants; schedule faculty/residents to interview each applicant; serve as host on interview days; arrange hotel accommodations; tally evaluations.organization of candidate interview sessions, and orientation of new residents
Coordinate all logistics associated with the following annual recruiting events: Second Look weekend; Rank Day; Match Day; recruiting fairs, including NCFMR. Work collaboratively with the faculty, staff and residents to maintain and improve the residency recruiting process.Ensures that all residents have current licensure, professional liability insurance, DEA certificate, and certification in ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and/or other required life support courses
Work collaboratively with the Senior Program Coordinator/director/faculty/residents to maintain and improve the residency recruiting process.Coordinates annual/monthly residency rotation schedules in compliance with all educational experience requirements as mandated by ACGME
Initiate, track and maintain contact with all medical students rotating at Wesley FM. Oversee master schedule, determine rotation dates, ensure required paperwork is complete, prepare rotation materials, act and act as host/point-of-contact.
Coordinate all logistics associated with the annual resident graduation ceremony (venue, food, invitations, RSVPs, presentations/AV…).
Responsible for overseeing the weekly resident didactic conferences schedule, including preparation of PowerPoint presentations and AV support and acting as host/point-of-contact for speakers.
Oversee and update the residency website and Facebook account, working with the Senior Program Coordinator/director to make improvements.
Prepare and review monthly time cards for all residents. Responsible for ensuring that timely, correct time cards/duty hour reports are sent monthly to the Manager of Medical Education.Assists with the preparation of night/weekend call schedules, while maintaining compliance with ACGME regulations regarding resident working hours
Assist the Senior Program Coordinator/director in coordinating the annual/monthly resident rotation schedules in compliance with all ACGME requirements.
Assist the Senior Program Coordinator in overseeing and preparing for Faculty Meetings, Residency Section Meetings, CCC Meetings, and advisor and director evaluations with each resident.
Take and distribute meeting minutes.Prepares, distributes, and collects monthly time cards for all resident rotations at Wesley.
Submits time cards duty hour reports to Manager Director of Medical Education by the 5th business day of each month
Monitor/Tracks resident educational funds, vacation, educational, and sick leave days., as requested.uired
Maintains resident, faculty, and other program information (as required) on the New Innovations database.
