The Division Trauma Services AVP works in concert with the American Group Clinical Services Group Trauma Services AVP to carry out the CSG Trauma Services mission. The Division AVP leads development of strategies and tools to advance clinical performance in defined segments of trauma services. Works with the Continental Division officers, facility senior officers and the facility Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director to ensure appropriate alignment of performance improvement, growth, compliance, and technology advances.
The Division AVP serves as a professional expert on trauma services to ensure the delivery of optimal quality trauma patient care as defined by national and state standards of practice. The position ensures trauma center readiness and compliance with the American College of Surgeons and state trauma center regulations.
Additionally, the position has oversight of registry data, performance metrics, and research initiatives that produce exemplary optimal quality outcomes and performance for the trauma centers in the divisions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Requires at least 5 years of direct clinical emergency or critical care trauma care experience and a minimum of 5 years leadership experience as a Trauma Program Manager/Director in a nationally recognized verified Level I or II trauma center. Multi-market experience preferred. Bachelors in Nursing and Master in health related filed required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE Current active licensure (or eligibility) as a Registered Nurse in state of employment. Current knowledge of American College of Surgeons and state regulations for trauma centers, Joint Commission mandates for regulations and standards for trauma services. Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Advanced skills in clinical leadership and financial management and research initiatives. Ability to guide individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering quality services.
Special Considerations 55% to 65% travel to Division and hospital locations. Residency must be within Continental Division area.
