The Sonographer IVperforms diagnostic ultrasound procedures, operates ultrasound equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Is able to provide care to his/her assigned patients. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include clerical duties, receptionist, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files and general cleaning. Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QC on equipment.
