The Registered Nurse ECTposition supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora/CentennialMedical Plaza of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expandingbeyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the wholeperson. The ECT RN oversees and directsthe care of the geriatric person with psychiatric diagnosis. The RN will have basic physical assessmentskills and demonstrate ability to care for the patient with a co-existingpsychiatric diagnosis. An ability to provide knowledgeable, empathetic care ofthe person requiring is essential. Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines forwell-coordinated patient care. Functionsto seek methods to improve patient care on an ongoing basis. When the need arises, will perform otherduties as assigned by supervisor.

Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
CPI certification within 3 months of hire and re-certification every year thereafter.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
One year of acute care and one year of inpatient behavioralhealth, preferred.
