The SA is responsible for the more complex activities associated with, but not limited to, preparing monthly journal entries and analyses as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period. Prepare monthly reconciliations for all assigned balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances. Participates in annual budget process. Assist in the preparation of cost report, audit and tax package work paper. Adheres to SOX corporate policies. Works on special projects as assigned. Able to lead/direct small projects/analysis
1.Support management performance to ensure quality of services and maintain technical expertise of workgroup personnel 2.Help direct and review workgroup activities 3.Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness to meet specified deadlines 4.Maintain general ledgers 5.Prepare monthly journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period 6.Review detailed monthly actual to budget variance reports in the review of monthly operating performance 7.Review monthly reports for key indicators and statistics 8.Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, including documentation to support all balances 9.Participate in development and detailed review of annual operating budgets and performance projections 10.Coordinate and review annual personal property tax and Sales & Use tax returns, as required 11.Perform timely internal compliance audits for key SOX controls 12.Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved 13.Respond to requests for information from Corporate, Internal Audit and other internal management 14.Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of departmental accounting standards 15.Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and / or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure 16.Participate in ongoing professional development activities to remain informed of changing industry trends and government regulations 17.Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in accounting or other business –related field.
Three years accounting experience, healthcare experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 1.
