The Denver Health Medical Center and the University of Colorado Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a full-time academic general otolaryngologist with interest in Head and Neck Surgery and Trauma.
Denver Health is a nationally recognized integrated urban safety net health care system that offers a full complement of surgical services to the citizens of the City and County of Denver as well as specialty referral services for Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region.Denver Health houses the Rocky Mountain Regional Trauma Center, an ACS verified and state designated Level I Trauma Center.Denver health is formally affiliated with the University of Colorado, School of Medicine and all faculty have academic appointments.An academic appointment at the university will be commensurate with qualifications.Denver Health offers competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1.Physicians at Denver Health are faculty members of the University of Colorado School of Medicine serve as teachers for students seeking clinical experience at Denver Health and provide education for post graduate medical trainees.This is a non-tenured track.

4.Listen and Communicate by 1) providing clinical information in a clear and timely manner; 2) requesting information and resources needed to provide care consistent with Denver Health goals; and 3) provide and accept feedback in a respectful manner from all staff.
5.Take Ownership by 1) providing leadership to improve outcomes quality and service quality; 2) work to ensure personal, departmental and organization compliance with all legal and educational requirements; and 3) steadily improve the efficiency and economic aspects of your practice.

Education and Experience
1.Graduation from an Accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Programs and fellowships for specialist, or equivalent.
3.Experience in multidisciplinary management of patients with head and neck cancer.
4.Fellowship training in head and neck surgery and research experience are highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1.Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
2.Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
3.Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
4.Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
5.Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
6.Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
7.Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
8.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
9.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

1.Medical license to practice in State of Colorado.
