Independently and with minimal supervision, this position assists in monitoring and controlling server health in a biomedicalinformation system environment. This position requires advanced knowledge of personal computer and server processesand operations. The Systems Engineer will interact with the Information Technology and Clinical Engineering staff, as well asbiomedical equipment vendors to ensure the health and performance of servers and personal computers that currentlyexist in the Biomed space and therefore cannot be modified or monitored by the enterprise IT department. Provide processimprovement to strategically align medical devices on the network with IT governance such as HIPAA, Accountable Care and HITRUST. Be a Proactive liaison between Clinical Engineering and IT to provide better communication and resolution ofissues. This person must be able to bridge the gap between traditional Biomedical equipment support and the IT securityBest Practices found in large enterprises.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
3 years experience with Microsoft Windows Server
5 years with biomedical information systems.
Experience working in a healthcare setting, strongly preferred
HS Diploma/GED, required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Clinical Engineering, or a related field, preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday standard business hours, includes rotating on-call weekends
