You will be member ofthe trauma services team. Accountable and responsible for the delivery ofconsistent flow of trauma patient(s) through the Emergency Department.
Here's what you canexpect from being an RN on our unit:
·Demonstrates theability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, includingnewborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providingcare/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
·Meets the expectationsand assumes accountability for all ongoing job responsibilities
·Balances unexpectedtasks while performing ongoing responsibilities under ordinary direction andminimal supervision
·Stays current andproficient on job related knowledge, skills and industry changes
·Assumes accountabilityfor identifying problems and issues, generating solutions and anticipatingeffects of decisions
·Actively participatesand oversees performance and process improvements for patient care withdepartments, disciplines, trauma mid-level providers and traumas surgeons
·Participates inmonthly multidisciplinary meetings and process improvement meetings
·Assists with orperforms review of the medical record of all traumas patients, collectingrequired data for entry into the trauma registry
·Ensures accuracy andcompleteness of the registry data prior to submission of the data tool to stateand national agencies
·Works collaborativelywith Health Information Management to ensure accuracy of coding and assignsscores and enters all injuries utilizing the AIS and ICD-9 scoring systems
·Precepts andorientates newly certified TNCC RN's and actively participates in improvementsin the orientation process

I'minterested, what is required for this position?
·You have a currentRegistered Nurse License in the state of Kansas, and current Basic Life Support(BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
·Are you a graduate ofan accredited school of nursing? Outstanding!
·Advanced Cardia LifeSupport (ACLS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) and Pediatric Advance LifeSupport (PALS) upon or after hire pending enrollment in first available course
·Completion of dysrhythmiaupon hire or after pending enrollment in first available course
·We would like to fill thisposition with an RN who has 1 to 2 years of Trauma experience or 5 to 10 yearsof ED experience
