Individualperforms diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operates ultrasoundequipment, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies forthe procedure.Positively reflectsconcern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff,physicians, and other hospital personnel supporting the Mission, Vision, andValues of Rose Medical Center.Is ableto provide care to his/her assigned patients and assures a safe patient careenvironment.Maintains technical skillsand is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximizepatient safety.Secondary duties includeclerical duties, receptionist, answering phones, scheduling patients, orderingsupplies, stocking the department, maintaining files and general cleaning.Assists in collecting data for PI monitorsand conducting QC on equipment.

A.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current ARDMS certification with bothRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and Registered VascularTechnologist (RVT) certification. Current BLS Certification through AmericanHeart Association or American Red Cross
B.Education:Graduate of anaccredited medical radiography program
C.Experience: Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinicalexperience
D.Knowledge,Skills and Abilities: Familiarwith the majority of ultrasound and/or NIVA procedures.High degree of manual, critical thinkingskills, and dexterity skills necessary for operation of equipment and patientcare.
