Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team,and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes theoptimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient carestandards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
RN License required;Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required;Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
BLS from the American Heart Association required
ACLS from the American Heart Association required
One year RN experience required
Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Step-down department at St. Anthony Hospital is also calledthe Progressive Care Unit, a 16-bed unit providing step down/intermediate (IMC) providingcare to a variety of patients from all ICU specialties, ED and Med/Surg units. We have alarge cardiac/cardiac surgery population (ex. Watchmen, CABG, MVR/AVR, AAA repairpatients who may have chest tubes and external pacemakers) who transfer to the unit asearly as post-op day one and stay through their hospitalization. We admit a variety oftrauma patients and will also see strokes, TBIs, respiratory failure and medical patients.We have a great team who is fun and succeeds in a challenging environment. Ourdepartment is a great jumping off unit and is an area to learn and be challenged whileseeing a variety of patient populations.
