We are a Level IV trauma center with rural and critical care access. As part of an active community, St. Mary-Corwin is located near Pueblos main tourist area with many outdoor activities. We see everything from major traumas, STEMIs, and strokes to minor cases of viral illness and well-child checks. We are proficient in EMTALA laws with our stabilization and transfer experience of acutely emergent patients. Being a critical access hospital, our case mix is broad. We see patients including neonates and geriatrics and even treat an inmate population. Occasionally we receive overflow, but rarely will we need to board a patient. We have a great team environment. Our culture, teamwork and team dynamics are unlike any other. We foster great relationships with our associates and physicians. Our team is our extended family.
