Position Summary: This position supports the mission ofPresbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing quality of life of allthose served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to theneeds of the whole person. The AdultInfusion Center RN oversees and directs the care of the patient withhematologic/oncologic diagnosis receiving care in the outpatient setting. The Adult Infusion Center RN is responsiblefor the care of medical and surgical patients. Serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines forwell-coordinated patient care. Evaluates,plans, implements, and documents nursing care for patients in need ofintravenous treatments or cellular therapeutic procedures. Determines andappropriately cannulates venipuncture sites in order to administer intravenoustherapy treatments. Provides information to patients and families regardingintravenous therapy. When the needarises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Currentlicensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse; BLS – Healthcareprovider. ‘
ONSchemotherapy provider card required within the first 9 months of hire. If thestaff member is prn, they will not be required to have ONS ChemotherapyProvider Card because they will not have enough exposure tochemotherapy/biotherapy to maintain competency in this area.
Graduateof an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Oneyear experience in acute care or infusion center preferred.
Abilityto communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and otherhealth care team members.
Abilityto manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patientcare.
Strongcritical thinking skills.
