Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy Technician with us:
You will be responsible for filling automated dispensing systems
You will package unit dose medications
You will prepares non-sterile compounding medications
You will produce labels and prepare IV admixtures (including chemotherapy)
You will prepare medications
Your role will provide basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and other pharmacy computer systems
You will stock and deliver pharmacy supplies when needed
You will be responsible for destroying controlled substances within the facility when needed
Qualifications you will need for this role:
Current registration with the State of Kansas according to the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy
Current driver's license
Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of hire date
Completion of a formal vocational/technical training program for pharmacy technicians and/or 1 year of hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
