As a Nursing Hospital HouseSupervisor (RN) you will work under the direction of the Manager of NurseStaffing, the Director of Medical/Surgical Services and the AdministratorOn-Call, you will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality patientcare through effective management of clinical activities of the hospital duringyour assigned shift.
What youwill do in this role:
You willoversee nurse staffing and ensure that there is the appropriate number and typeof nursing personnel to care for the number and acuity of patients.
You willreview patient care daily, visit patients regularly, making suggestions toimprove care and become involved in the care of selected patients.
You willdemonstrates an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan,implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply managementdecisions.
You willparticipate in the monitoring, coaching, evaluating and discipliningprocess.
You will ensure the timely admissionof patients from the Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Direct Admissionsand the Access Center.
You will respond as patient advocateduring off-hours to patient concerns and report these interactions to thePatient Advocacy Department.
You will respond to all CODE/RRTsituations throughout the facility.
What Qualifications you will need:
Current licensure in the State ofColorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurselicense.
BLS certificationthrough the American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequired.
ACLScertification through the American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross required.
PALS certification required.
Graduatefrom an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Two years minimum experience inacute care/specialty nursing is desirable in area of specialty.
One year previous experience incharge/supervisory or management position.
