Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary: Under minimal supervision supports the continuous evaluation of multiple departments in alignment with Denver Health's financial, strategic, and operational initiatives and projects. Evaluates business and clinic processes, anticipates opportunities and challenges, identifies areas for improvement and makes data-driven recommendations. Coordinates and performs duties related to data acquisition and analysis for multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for querying and managing data using Epic reporting tools and other data tools and warehouses. Requires strong organizational and project management skills to set priorities and ability to work with high degree of accuracy and attention to details while responding to tight deadlines and multiple priorities and demands. Demonstrates skill in utilizing principles and practices of effective and persuasive communication to elicit and/or present explanatory or interpretive information in an organized, concise manner. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Exceptional ability to gather, understand and utilize data to inform decisions and make recommendations. * Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to compile, categorize, calculate, audit, and/or verify data. * Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while remaining flexible with changing priorities. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals. * Excellent communication skills and ability to summarize detailed information in an organized, concise manner. * Strong ability and comfort in presenting data, recommendations and proposals to a wide variety of audiences and levels of leadership (both written and verbally). * Exceptionally strong knowledge, experience and acumen for Toyota Production System philosophy, culture change. Data-driven decision making and leadership management style is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelors required. Concentration in business administration, finance, health care or economics preferred. Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Finance, Accounting or Computer Science highly preferred. Experience: Five years in data analytics, process improvement or project management required. Experience in healthcare consulting with companies such as Huron Consulting Group or Boston Consulting Group strongly preferred. Business/clinical analysis experience for Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions preferred. Healthcare experience working with clinical databases and the analysis of data preferred. Location: Administration Building Work Type: Full time Pay Range: Minimum: 60,236.80 Midpoint: 75,296.00 Maximum: 90,355.20 All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
