The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Porter Adventist Hospital is a patient centered, results oriented unit, which utilizes exceptional teamwork, daily. We care for all adult patientpopulations in our 36-bed, combined ICU/SDU (Step Down Unit). As the only ICU in thehospital, this includes, but is not limited to, cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurological,medical and surgical patients. Our surgical services include open heart, ortho/spine andtransplant surgeries. We are the only hospital within Centura Health that has an organtransplant program (liver/kidney/pancreas) as well as an ECMO program. We manage amultitude of advanced devices including IABP, CRRT, Arctic Sun, Impella and TandemHeart. This provides a unique opportunity for nurses to train and care for both the criticalmedical and surgical populations. Our SDU population is primarily comprised of CVsurgery and vascular patients. Additionally, we will care for psych patients who havecomplex, medical comorbidities. We pride ourselves in building collaborative relationshipsamongst our peers as well as other care team providers. We strongly encourageprofessional development and support our nurses financially and personally in their questto obtain specialty certifications such as the CCRN. In our unit, we believe excellence andcompassion for both patients and peers are the keys to success.

Job description:

Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team,and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes theoptimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient carestandards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care,organizational mission, and core values.

**$15k bonus paid out over 2 years to new employees that have 1 year of ICU RN experience**

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• RN License required;Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
• Associates Degree in Nursing required;Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RN's
• BLS from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS required from the AHA
• One year ICU RN experience required
• Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
