You have related experience with understanding provider credentialing process.
You are able to work with minimal immediate supervision and are able to find resources as needed to efficiently perform within the position.
You are able to cover early morning and early evening meetings as needed.

As a Credentialing Specialist you need to know how to:
Complete administrative duties related to correspondence, communication, coordinate projects and assist with departmental duties assigned by the Director
Identify new applicants to the Medical Staff that will be working under an employment contract
Assess the location of the applicant’s primary practice and licensing requirements
Assess the location of the applicants secondary practice, if applicable
Establish priorities and timelines for licensing, renewals, credentialing and CAQH completion
Determine the primary and secondary licensing needs of the applicant
Generate reports from the medical staff software
Serve as the Telehealth Credentialing Coordinator
Establish communication regarding needs and status of the application process with the applicant, clinic manager, onboarding committee, Director and other individuals related to the onboarding process

Minimum of three (3) months of education beyond high school
Minimum of two (2) years of related experience
Current Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (NAMSS) or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hire
