Job Summary Under general supervision, performs investigations and analyses of communicable and non-communicable disease incidents or other health events. Establishes or maintains surveillance systems and supports public health program evaluation. Monitors the health of populations and identifies causes and conditions resulting in adverse health effects and proposes public health recommendations. Provides input, project and data management, and analytic support for public health epidemiologic studies or program evaluations. Summarizes and reports information on disease occurrence, investigations, interventions, and other projects as needed. Helps other Denver Public Health programs and partner organizations build analytic capacity.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience applying epidemiologic methods for data analysis.Excellent oral and written communications skills. Experience communicating health information to a variety of audiences.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Education * Bachelor's Degree (Required) Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, public health, environmental health, nursing, or related field, required.
Experience
Two years of professional experience in the investigation and/or prevention of communicable or non-communicable diseases or health events, required.
Location Shift Work Type Pay Range Minimum: 84,635.20 Midpoint: 105,788.80 Maximum: 126,942.40 All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
