Job Summary Under general supervision, provides support, training, quality assurance, development, implementation, and maintenance of websites and applications within the IT Software Development Team. This position also provides assistance in discovery, documentation, and developing enhancements to custom software. Acts as the liaison to customer and other IT teams to help facilitate software needs developed in-house or purchased. Must possess a strong ability to learn and topnotch communication skills.
Responsibilities 1. Product Support and Developmenta. Maintain and support existing applications and databases, as needed, to increase functionality or correct bugs.b. With oversight, create front end web pages and local client user interfaces (UIs).c. With oversight, create back end data access, data manipulation methods, web services, and applications.d. On-call availability, as needed.2. Design and Documentationa. Work with Project Manager, Business Analyst, and stakeholders during iterative development process to ensure that the needs of the community are being met by the application. Alter design or direction, as needed.b. Work with technical leads and create/design intuitive and maintainable UIs and code.c. Design or manipulate database or other data storage method that meets the requirements of new and existing products.d. Assist in evaluation the available technologies and make recommendations on the best fit for the current needs.e. Create code, process, support, and build documentation.3. Stakeholder and Team Interactiona. Participation in software release and post-release activities (e.g., developing demonstrations and/or samples).b. Adhering to all release and coding standards.c. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.4. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities1. Business analysis skills to identify business solution requirements by interviewing business users, analyzing processes/operations, establishing solution objectives, prototyping solutions, and preparing specifications. 2. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 3. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals. 4. Familiarity with the Agile/SCRUM development process and SDLC.5. Knowledge of ITIL.6. Excellent customer service skills.7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Computers and Technology1. Demonstrated experience of core development technologies including Microsoft .Net, .Net Core including C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Studio, NoSQL Solutions, . NET MVC, and at least one Java Script front end framework.2. Familiar with writing queries using T-SQL along with the ability to create stored procedures, running queries, developing tables and joins, and data analysis or experience with a NoSQL solution. 3. Skilled in Microsoft Office suite.4. Skilled Microsoft platforms, technologies, and tools.
Education * Bachelor's Degree (Required) 1. Bachelor's degree and two years Web Application Programmer experience required. 2. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, with five years of experience as a Web Application Programmer required.3. Two years of programming experience working with Microsoft-based development platforms preferred.
