JOB SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, performs administrative and record keeping functions in the Department of Nursing.Provides clerical and technical support to the Department of Nursing. Supports the goals of the department by compiling reports, entering information into appropriate databases, managing the annual PPD's and Performance Evaluations to assure due dates are met.Communicates with Nursing Leadership to assure due dates are met.Collects the required documentation for submitted reimbursement by the staff for seminars and prepares the required paper work for payment; Responsible for the clerical duties associated with the coordination of nursing facility and students.Supports the certification and licensure renewal for the Department of Nursing.
Education: Graduation from High School or GED Certificate. Associates Degree preferred.
Experience: Typically, three years of HR or customer service experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of inventory practices with the ability to maintain adequate levels of supplies. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal human relation skills. Able to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and notify appropriate repair contact. Intermediate knowledge of databases sufficient to be able to research, analyze and report. Skill in filling out forms and completing paperwork relative to the work assignment.Ability to create, store, edit, format, print, and revise tables, reports, forms, labels, and other printed material using the available software. Recognizes initiates and leads improvement efforts through initiative, judgment, tact, and discretion.
