We are seeking an OR Aide for our hospital to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Position Summary: The OR Aide, under the direction of a licensed care giver, performs a variety of basic care services related to the cleaning and preparation of the operating room suite according to the hospital standards and policies, and assists in transferring patients to and from the OR table. Here is some of what you can expect from being an OR Aide with us: · Assists in maintaining clean, well-organized and adequately stocked OR department. · Maintains a safe environment for the surgical patients by checking the cleanliness of equipment & operating room before every procedure. · Assumes responsibility for supply and equipment management appropriate to position and in compliance to department standards. · Assists in patient transfers to and from the operating room table under the supervision an RN. · Prepares for each procedure and/or surgery. · Assist with post procedure workload including: cleaning room between procedures, putting away all unused supplies and setting up for the next procedure.
