The Director, Lab Services supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality by providing leadership and direction in the delivery of quality services and patient care provided by the clinical laboratory department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field; Master’s preferred
• Current Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP, AMT or ISCLT) certification
• 5 years of acute care hospital clinical laboratory technologist experience
• 3 years of management experience in a healthcare environment, including coordinating and assigning work, performance management, mentoring and staff development, training and education
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, providing excellent customer service
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• EMR experience preferred, Cerner strongly preferred
