Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for initiating and presenting available trials to physician owners for selection, coordinating all patient screening, enrollment and subsequent protocol activities including case report from completion relating to clinical trials. Facilitates logistics for clinical trial activities. Provides high quality data management support for the various research protocols and establishes good clinical practices focused on protocol compliance.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in scientific or healthcare related field, minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare data management and/or clinical trials are preferred. CITI training and GCP training strongly preferred. Blood Borne Pathogens training required.
Essential Skills and Abilities: Ability to work effectively and efficiently, must be self-directed and motivated, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, highly detailed oriented, skills to effectively communicate with patients, family members, medical personnel, sponsors and physician owners.
Essential Computer Applications: MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Oversees the administrative functions of multi-trial research studies.
Provides oversight of treatment provided to research subjects enrolled in studies and maintains continual clinical assessment of research subjects.
Acts as liaison among physicians, research sponsors, clinical personnel to ensure proper adherence to research protocols.
Coordinates and participates in patient screening, recruitment and scheduling, researching patient records, completion and maintenance of consent forms, administration of questionnaires, maintaining database, and completion of case report forms.
Assisting with clinical procedures, providing related patient care when required during data collection process.
Review patient data with study monitors as required.
