Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, located in the Uptown neighborhood in Denver, CO and licensed for 680 beds, PSL provides the most advanced care for patients across the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains. The Advanced Cardiac Center at P/SL is known as a major heart hospital, recognized several times over the American Heart Association for excellence and for its success in implementing a higher standard of cardiac care that effectively improves treatment of patients hospitalized for heart disease. This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus of medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The rehab services Rehab Tech, under the supervision of the manager, prepares patients for and assists therapists in treatment, instructs patients in exercise techniques, proper use of equipment, and general fitness, demonstrates a good working knowledge of treatment techniques, maintains the PT and OT department in a clean and orderly fashion, communicates appropriate patient information, assures adequate stock of supplies and performs clerical duties. When needs arise, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS through AHA or ARC required upon hire.
Education: BS in a related field.

Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other allied health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Good critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate using auditory input and output
Degree of supervision required: Patient care supervision will be performed by the PT or OT delegating the care. General supervision and guidance by the department manager. Employee will be expected to perform non-patient care job duties independently and in accordance with established department and hospital policies and procedures. Work performance is reviewed by team and manager.
