The Medical Center of Aurora, the first community hospital in the Denver Metro area to receive two-time Magnet designation for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), is a 346-bed acute care hospital located in Aurora, Colorado.
The Medical Center of Aurora is comprised of six campuses in Aurora and Centennial, Colo., including the Main Campus, located at Interstate 225 and Mississippi, the North Campus Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Centennial Medical Plaza, Saddle Rock ER, Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, Spalding Rehabilitation at P/SL, and a medical office building at Green Valley Ranch.
The Main Campus facility is a Level II Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Certification and Chest Pain Center accreditation, serving the eastern metro area and I-70 corridor.

Noninvasive Vascular Imaging uses state-of-the-art imaging technology to diagnose vascular diseases and assist our cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and vascular surgeons with diagnosing and planning surgical procedures.
Interventional Radiology Technologist position summary:
Under the supervision of the Radiologist and supervisor, performs diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures for patients ages adolescents through geriatric. Generates appropriate paperwork including requisitions, film jackets, charges and provides a complete history of patient. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and provide quality diagnostic results. Responsible for supply/inventory management. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: -Current certification by ARRT reuired. Cardiovascular or Vascular Interventional Certification required within 1 year of hire.
-BLS certification required.
Education: -Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program.
Experience: -Prefer 2 years recent hospital angiographic interventional experience.
-Skills commensurate with formal training requirements.
Special Qualifications: -Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members.
-Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
Degree of supervision required: -Involves general guidance and direction by the Radiology Director and Manager.
